Christian got the most rip’s out of all of us. He got more then five rip’s. We all got ripped by Christian and also Jeminye. At the end we played tag and Legin won the game.

At 10.45am we were at the astroturf with the ripper rugby coaches. We went to play Ripper Rugby on Thursday 28th of February 2019 as a class.

First Fraser and Sinclair gave us a belt then they gave us colorful rippers. Then we played a game - how you play? You run around and try to get the coloured strap off other kids waist. Then we played another game called ripper runner. It was a fun game but then we also played another game. The game was like octopus. It was really fun, the winner was Legin. He was the fastest boy in the class.

Then we finished the game and room 9 came for their turn with the coaches. I like both games because it reminds me about rugby. We finished our lesson at 11.20am.

 Ripper Rugby

When we played Ripper Rugby we played on the astroturf on the senior side where the senior kids do sports like basketball and soccer and also football. I felt so excited and nervous when I first got there. The person that showed us how to play the game there names was Sinclaire and Fraser. We started at 10:45am and we finished at 11;20pm.

Our training towards - How to play Ripper Rugby.

To play Ripper Rugby you had to find a those velcro belts and a sticky tag to stick on you and your friends or cousins or your older siblings. The student in Room 8 who won the game was Legin because he had one more life and that’s how Legin won the game called Ripper Rugby. When I first played the game it looked kind of hard at the last game but the first game was easy.

On Thursday we lined up and we went to the turf to play a game. There were two mans standing there and taught us how to play the game. We had to put a black belts on and put two different colours of tags on each side.

Then we had to run around the turf and you had to try to take the tags off the belt. We kept on going into the whistle rings and it was so fun.

Then the second game is ripper tag. There had to be three people who were taggers. They were Eloida, Finau, and Snowlee. We also had to run on the other side to win. I won the first round and second round and up to fourth then I was chosen to be a tager. There was 18 more people to tag and all of them got tagged but Legin was still running and he won the whole game. He was happy.

Swimming with Instructors

It was a beautiful day. The swim instructors came from Swim Magic to teach us how to swim. Before we started our lesson we were asked to take a 5 second shower. Then once we were in the pool the instructors asked us to show few simple swimming skills so they can divide us into 3 groups. It was bit challenging for some of the swimmers however we all had fun in the sun.

First Day of Swimming

It was the first swimming lesson of the year.

We went for swimming on Monday the 4th of February.

The temperature was 27 degrees celsius.

Almost everybody brought their swimming togs.

We had a quick shower and hopped in the pool.

At first we had some free swimming of our own then Mrs Kumar taught us how to hold the sidebar and blow the bubbles, kick in the water, swim with the board and most importantly we did some floating on our backs as well.

It was challenging but fun at the same time. Aho and Christian learnt how to swim on their backs.

They were very excited.

After 45 minutes of swimming we had a quick shower and got changed in the changing room.

As a class we had so much fun swimming on a hot sunny day.
