Chinese Lantern for Chinese Festival

On Friday I made a Chinese Lantern.

So how we made it we used Glue, Scissors, A4 color paper and lastly sellotape.

So we started by using the A4 color paper and folded it in a hot dog and use the scissors to cut straps but not fully. Then you unfold the color paper. Then you roll the paper and glue the end and stick it together. Next we used white A4 paper and cut a strap and glue the ends and stick it on the lantern. Also we then used sellotape and hung it in our teacher's space.

On Friday we made chinese lantern. We used scissors, colorful paper, sellotape and glue sticks. We made it perfectly. We had fun and it was easy. The whole class were sad because we had to finish it on Monday but they were happy again. I felt happy and excited when we learnt how to make a chinese lantern. We didn't know how to do it, Miss kumar showed us so we followed her instructions. Then we hung it on one of the frames so we could see. We wrote our names on it so that people know, which one their son or daughter made it for the chinese lantern festival. Also what we are learning all about. When we were making our lanterns we liked and when we made, it felt easy.

We made colourful paper lantern. I liked how we sticked it up. It was so beautiful we made these on Friday. I liked this because it was my first time making chinese lantern. We used glue, A4 coloured paper, scissors and sellotape. We didn't finish making it so the next day we made it in the morning. It looked like a real lantern but it is made out of paper. You can make it with any coloured paper. Lots of people knew how to make it after Mrs Kumar showed us. We were so happy once it was finished and hung in the class. Some people learnt it from Skids. Some people made it for the first time. Once it was done I saw everyone were so excited even I felt happy.

To make a Chinese Lantern you need some colourful A4 paper. Then you put it in landscape and fold the top. After that you cut the folded part so it is almost at the end and do that all the way along the piece of paper until it is finished  then unfolded it and put the ends together and glue it. Then to make the handle you cut a strip of paper and glue it on the top of it.
